Student Reassignment Process

A structured process governs the reassignment of students within an educational institution. Initially, teachers submit reassignment requests to their principals. Upon receiving these requests, principals attempt to find a suitable placement for the student within their immediate team.

After a maximum of two passes through the system a principal is allowed to escalate the reassignment request.

SPED requests go to the appropriate SPED director

REG ED requests go to the appropriate Asst. Sup of Instruction

Receiving MDI considers request

If not approved the denial reason is recorded and the request kicks back to the student's current MDI and principal.

If approved student is reassigned and all stakeholders are notified via email.
