The first boat was lowered with only 28 people but could hold 65.

The Titanic was the first international news story of the 20th century to receive intensive coverage worldwide.

American newspapers had the advantage since the survivors were brought to New York.

Over 28 newspapers covered the story.

All survivors were rescued by The Carpathia.

Of the 2224 people on board 1514 lost their lives.

3% of 1st class women died as compared to 54% of 3rd class women.

Wealthiest passenger was Jacob Astor IV.
