UAI is an indicator of how much a country likes to stick to their standardized processes and does not like swaying away from the norm. A high UAI country such as the UAE at 80 is known to stick to what has been done over the years, avoid risk, maintain structure and processes that you have to go through, and this is quite representative of how the UAE performs its business dealings and day to day operations.
Power Distance
Power Distance is an important dimension in regards to its influence in the Emirati workspace. The Hofstede Insights places UAE at a 90 Power Distance which is extremely high. This shows that titles and power structures are to be respected. the hierarchy is steep and there is significant inequality that is just part of business as usual in the UAE.
