This quote raises feelings such as disgust within the villagers, since the villagers initially perceived this creature as an angel which is typically described as holy and a deity, but in this situation the villagers associated this creature as somewhat equivalent to a chicken, since it was seen playing with it This quote has been a larger pattern of the angel being mistreated, and abused by the general population of the village, and this would've been the green light to all of that as they now no longer associate him with the holiness that belong to an angel
