Can caffiene be the solution to weight related diseases?

Although caffeine contributes to weight loss it is not a solid solution to diseases such as obesity. Studies have shown that caffiene may actually increase the risk of obesity. Of course, it all varies from person to person.

What is its effect if you take too much?

Larger doses might cause headache, anxiety, and chest pain. Caffeine is likely unsafe when used in very high doses.
insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, nausea
Your heart rate speeds up too much and you can have other heart related complications in the future.

Can it slow metabolism down?

Although it speeds up your metabolism it also supresses your apetite.
Although it does speed up metabolism and help with fat burn, the effect doesnt last.
Not necessarily, caffiene is moreso connected to increasing RMR (resting metabolic rate) and can help with fat burn.

Other effects of caffeine

The effects of caffiene vary from person to person due to individual factors such as sleep schedule, genetics, hydration and tolerance. For me personally caffeine doesn't wake me up at all and it puts me straight to sleep, I don't know why though there isn't any research I could find.

In order to keep the wieght loss and metabolism speeding up effect, you need to take controlled dosages of caffeine.
It can but it varies from person to person.
In the long run people tend to get tolerant so the weight loss effect doesn't last for long.

What specifically about caffiene speeds up metabolism?

It affects your fat oxidizing rate.
Caffiene esentially activates your flight or fight response which increases physical activity.
Caffiene effects your nervous system.
