Do they have a job with a steady income? Do they have more than one job? What type?

With family or friends

Did they come to the US with people? Are they still in contact with them once they've settled down?

Alone

Did they come to the US alone? Did they meet friends along the way to potentially share a place to live with?

Age

Is there a common age for undocumented immigrants to come to the US? Or a common age for them to be caught and deported?

Location in US

Does the location where undocumented immigrants effect their new lifestyle/chances at finding a job and place to live/chances of getting caught?


They think they're here (in US) for a better life, and is deportation the moment they realize it's unobtainable?

Returning to home country

After being deported and sent back to home country, how is the mental/emotional state of undocumented immigrants effected? Are they about the continue with a normal life now that they've returned?

Sexuality

Does this effect how they were treated before they left their home country? Once they made it to the US, did this change how they were treated?

Gender

Did their gender effect how they were treated in detention centers? Or in the US once they got there?

Deportation

What was the process like for them? Traumatizing? Quick? Not quick (like being put in a detention center for a long time before deciding what to do with them)?
