Emotionally

By burying ourselves in our screens, it translates to be increasingly difficult to have awareness of external surroundings in our day to day environment or inner emotions. In a spiritual sense, we silence our subconscious within by over stimulating in other ways; for example, gaming, shopping etc.
Humans now a days want to be isolated because of our phones which then make us detached to each other.
Using social media can make you feel more connected to the world. But, comparing yourself to others can leave you feeling inadequate or left out.
Having these human connections globally is great however it creates barriers in real life which you can't see past.

Mentally

Social media sites, for some individuals, can trigger feelings of low self-esteem. For example, a social media site user may see other people on the site and assume those individuals are more successful, beautiful, intelligent and so on. Which causes them to lack self-confidence
My friends as well have these issues and blame these problems on social media and once they take breaks from it, they end up feeling much more relieved.
Having too much computer time can indefinitely increase your anxiety. Studies have shown excessive social media use can lead to feelings of depression and dependency in some people.
My older family members see the toll social media has taken on us younger members with especially me since I'm the only female young member as of right now.

Physically

It’s not only our eyesight that may be affected: however, people worry that digital eye strain may also affect your head, neck, and shoulders, depending on your posture as you use different devices. If you find yourself with seemingly causeless head and neck aches, you might want to consider adjusting your posture and/or reducing your screen time a bit.
To me this seems to be true because these affects are happening with me and has happened with a lot of my peers.
According to the American Optometric Association study, prolonged use of computers, tablets, and cellphones can lead to digital eye strain. When you use a smartphone, the chances are that you’re holding your head in an unnatural forward-leaning position. This position puts a lot of strain on your neck, shoulders, and spine.
