Pakistan

The analysis of Pakistan's cultural dimensions reveals a complex interplay of societal values and behaviors. While the country scores an intermediate 50 in Masculinity, indicating no clear preference, personal experiences suggest a more masculine mentality focused on success over quality of life.

Individualism: 14

Pakistan, with a very low score of 14, is considered a collectivistic society. This is manifest in a close long-term commitment to the member ‘group’, be that a family, extended family, or extended relationships. I agree with this score and the idea that family comes first in Pakistani culture. Parents and family have to all come to an agreement in Pakistani culture before making decisions which is what I feel from my experience.

Masculinity: 50

Pakistan scores 50 on this dimension, and as this is an exactly intermediate score it cannot be said if Pakistan has a preference to Masculinity of femininity. I disagree with this because Pakistanis in my experience tend to have a more masculine mentality in the sense that success is the focus and quality of life comes after.

Uncertainty Avoidance: 70

Pakistan had a score of 70 in this area, indicating a strong preference for avoiding uncertainty. This indicates that the nation's culture has a strong emotional need for laws to uphold moral commitments. Although the nation is open to new ideas, there is still a norm or standard that most people adhere to, such as their beliefs, objectives, and attire. I certainly agree with this from my experience the country is quite strict on its beliefs and many similarities are present between one another.

Power Distance: 55

With an intermediate score of 55, it is not possible to determine a preference for Pakistan in this dimension. I disagree with this because from my experience Pakistani society has individuals which are not treated equally. People with more money are given special treatment by the government and because of the corruption that exists within the country, they can pay themselves out of a problem through bribes.
