Exposition

- Mike has become very rich in a very short time

- Richard Pratt goes in Mike's House with the narrator and his wife to a dinner

- He and a man named Mike play betting games about wine names

- Richard has an obsession for food and wine

- Theres is a man named Richard Pratt

Rising action

Mike was completely sure he could not lose. He was sure that Richard won't guess the name of the wine.

- Afterwards, they were speaking that if Prat won, he could marry Louise. But if Mike won, he would get Richard's two houses.

- He was sure he would win the bet, because that was a very rare wine. So, he said Pratt that he would bet anything.

- Mike came up with another bet, so he went to find a bottle of wine on his desk.

- Pratt was so concentrated in his conversation with the girl, that he didn't eat his meal nor drank his wine, which was very strange. Louise felt uncomfortable about Richard's attitude

- Richard shows a lot of interest in Mike's daughter Louise, who was 18 years old

Resolution

- The servant stayed behind Richard and said that the glasses were in Mike's study, right there where the wines were, and she explained, that he has left them when he went there before dinner.
