Present perfect tense menunjukkan pekerjaan yang sudah dikerjakan pada waktu yang belum lama terjadi. Atau jika sudah dilakukan dalam waktu yang lama, tujuannya untuk menunjukkan bahwa pelaku pernah melakukannya. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa pekerjaan tersebut telah selesai.
Simple past tense merupakan jenis tenses yang menunjukkan suatu pekerjaan terjadi pada masa lampau. Tenses ini tidak menyatakan secara detail apakah pekerjaan yang dilakukan telah selesai atau belum.
