There are mainly two methods:

2) Turning negatives into positives

Conocer, estudiar, analizar e investigar las causas, efectos, evolución, proyecciones, entre otros de estos problemas.

Entender todos los problemas de la nación como la pobreza, corrupción, narcotráfico, carencias de salud, analfabetismo entro otros.

The other method is converting your weaknesses into strengths or threats into opportunities.

For example: growing a skill set through education, finding a creative way to feature a weakness as a strength, etc.
