Concept Map Reflection

As I planned for this concept map, I was able to use notes from previous classes but it also required me to read ahead in our 377 material. I found that this proved to be a great challenge because there were so many areas I could start and focus in on. While actually building the concept map, I felt ease in placing concepts on the map but felt very indecisive about the words or phrases that connect concepts. Even the slightest change in these words or phrases can change the meaning of the whole map which was something I dwelled quite a bit on. I found it incredibly interesting to read about sexuality for older adults. In discourse about sexuality, I find that is is saturated with the youth experience and often lacks the perspective of older adults. Overall, I really enjoyed this assignment. I felt that I pushed myself to make meaningful connections between these large ideas, concepts with just a single word or very short phrase. This urged me to learn more on the matter to be able to draw those detailed and accurate descriptions to add concepts to the map.
