The integration of various theoretical perspectives is crucial in the mental health field. Utilizing Crisis and Task-Centered Theory has proven effective for brief, structured interventions, a practice learned during an MSW program.

Cognitive Behavioral Theory

This is the primary perspective used at my current job in mental health servicing children with emotional and behavioral problems. It has proven to be effective and is evidenced-based. I will continue to use this theory with future clients.
