Viola (Cesario)

Viola mourns the loss of her brother and finds herself in a foreign land, unsure of his fate. She adopts the disguise of Cesario to navigate the dangers of being a lone woman and to gain employment under Duke Orsino, a position women cannot hold openly.

Because of Orsino's comforting manner to Viola, she starts to fall in love with him. However, she is now upset that she has to portray his love for Olivia to her because she wishes Viola would marry Orsino instead of Olivia.

Because of Cesario's kind words to Olivia, she is starting to fall in love with him. This leaves Viola confused and also conflicted because Olivia was supposed to return Orsino's love, not Cesarios's.
