Why there are few women in Science?

The underrepresentation of women in science can be attributed to a variety of complex factors. Prejudices and rigid academic boundaries often favor male over female contributions. Gender-based quotas further limit the number of women in scientific fields, while stereotypes perpetuate the notion that science is predominantly a male domain.
