During the Age of Exploration and Discovery from the 1450s to the 1650s, European explorers ventured into new territories, including Africa, Central, and South America. This period witnessed significant interactions between Europeans and indigenous populations, often marked by the imposition of labor and unfair treatment of natives.

Native Americans that lived in Americas were killed. The way they were killed was by the deadliest disease. Natives treatment was horrible.

Resources That Explorers Wanted

Explorers used square sails that sail quickly with the wind behind them.

Gunpowder

Used for fireworks originally but later for military purposes.
The Compass
It allow them to navigate water and land.
To have accurate navigation.

It became norm and was a good trade sell and people to write on.

Tea
Tea trade was a major cause of the First Opium War between China and Great Britain.
In certain areas, it was grew naturally an it became accustom for drinking.

Challenges to Exploration

Storms
Ships are strong enough and safe to endure storms. We have navigation system to tell us if a storm is coming.
Them old ships were easy to wreck in storms and kill lives.
Life on the ship
We made it comfortable and more enjoyable to be on a ship.
It was uncomfortable, easily to break, it was rough.
We have a pretty go accurate navigation system everywhere.
They didn't have accurate navigation system.
Hunger
We know to have more than enough because you don't want to be like that.
People wasn't sure how long they were going to travel so sometimes they have less food.
Diseases (sea sick)
People know to have abudant of food and get a lot of vitamin C while traveling.
People can become Scurvy from lack o knowledge.

Continents Explored

In the early 1500s Spanish explorers explored most of Central and South America.
They made natives work for them. The treatment was unfair or wrong towards the natives.
In the 14th to the 17th centuries was The Renaissance era over Europe.
The Treatment of the natives were neutral because it was no violence or struggle on them trading and teaching christianity.
Europeans discover Africa in the 15th Century.
Some Africans were sold into slavery for guns and etc. The treatment wasn't quite pleasant.
After 100 years from Columbus Voyage, Spanish conquered much Americas

Technologies

Guns
Guns evolved to become a more machinery weapon and tool for hunting and etc. We have people to show how we can improve on them.
Guns was to overpower or protect from people. It was made of gun powder with a single shot. Guns were too advance for the rest of the continents.
Navigation
Navigation evolved by becoming a system that easily direct people all over the world to where ever people want to go.
Navigation helped advance the World Exploration by directing the course of where they were going.
Maps
Maps have evolved when people start to discover the whole world.
Maps were showing the reflection of the World. At that time, the map wasn't full because people were not discovering other places.
Winds
The wind evolved to modern times by studying on the wind and create systems to locate the weather for a month
Winds were used to navigate and to spot storms during the exploration
Ships
Ships evolved to modern times by becoming stronger, faster, smarter and sturdy.
This new technology advance the World Exploration because people began to discover, trade and became globalization.
