The coursework involved an extensive focus on rhetorical analysis, emphasizing the need to understand and evaluate the context of various articles. Critical thinking and composition were central to the projects, adhering to Student Learning Outcomes that required detailed research and problem-solving skills.

Conventions are used in any writing that you will do throughout your whole writing career, it was utilized within each one of our projects because it has to deal with grammar and proper citations.

Conventions

Understand conventions as related to purpose, audience, and genre, including such areas as mechanics, usage, citation, practices as well as structure, style, graphics, and design. For our fourth Student Learning Outcome we have to follow the proper conventions for grammar, spelling, through revision.

Critical Thinking and Composing

Use the reading and writing for purposes of critical thinking, research, problem solving, action, and participation in conversations within and across different communities. Our second Student Learning Outcome was to identify when and where Critical Thinking is used within the text that you are reading. As well as when to use it when you are writing yourself.

Critical thinking and composing was used in most of our projects because it was apart of our SLO's which we had to use throughout our writing of the papers for the projects, this included our research and problem solving for our sources.

For Project one throughout each draft we revised we used peer revision and revision from our professor where we were able to take the comments made and reflect upon them to make our own writing better and get a better grade on our papers.

Reflection and Revision

We took class time for our professor to look at our projects and give us feedback on what we needed to work on in order to get a better grade.
We had peer revision within our class time where we were able to take suggestions of our peers and apply them to make our own writing better
We did a lot of reflection in our class we had a reflection essay at the end of each project, as well as our reflection of the semester in the form of an ePortfolio

Rhetorical Awareness

We looked into what exactly Rhetorical awareness is and how it shows Author, Audience, Topic, and Purpose of the text we are analyzing. We used rhetorical analysis in almost every single project that we did this semester.
We looked extensively into our analysis process and used a lot of rhetorical analysis in our writing

PROJECTS 1-3 were all utilizing rhetorical analysis and awareness due to us needing to analyze and see the context of our articles being used. Rhetorical analysis was a valuable tool that we used throughout the semester.
