they lived near lake ontario

their traditional lands are in the great lakes region,just below lake ontario.

The Iroquois believe in the great spirit.

They communicate with the Great Spirit by burning tobacco.

The clothing was made out of deer hide and deer skin. Iroquois used items from their natural surroundings to make clothing. Fur was also used from animals such as rabbits or porcupine quills,wooden beads and feathers were used to decorate.

Corn husk were used when making moccasins.

A Gustoweh is a headpiece. It is decorate with beads and feathers.

They used canoes if they needed to cross water and snow shoes or sleds to get through the snow in the winter.

Good job on your project. It's well organized and I like that you explained the parts of your project by using your own words.

A few suggestions:

Show some picture of different tools used by the Iroquois and explain their function. You have a main topic that explains the clothing they wore but it should be a subtopic underneath the clothing section. Remember at least 3 facts per topic.

Where They Lived.

NOPE

They lived in villages surrounded by a fence.

They could fit about 20 families in one longhouse. They have 2 floors. Sleep area is on the second floor and the living area is on the first floor.

They lived in longhouses. These homes were made from wooden poles covered in elm bark.
