Setting & Participants
The research is carried out at Ajyal High School, an Arabic public school located in Jaffa, Tel-Aviv.

Twenty- eight EFL students from the 9th grade; twenty girls and eight boys, whose ages ranged from 13.5 to 15 years old.

Tools used
Flip grid & iMovie’s : are free video platforms that allow students and educators to film quick video responses. These tools capture all voices even in large classrooms and allow students to speak in class ,to practice, edit and share their thoughts.

Intervention- An action based research/project

Research has shown that using video recordings of students created through various digital tools, offers numerous opportunities for the development of learners' speaking skills and its effect as a facilitator in the classroom (Glenn, 1996; Katchen, 1991; Lynch & Maclean, 2003).
Why Video Recording ?

Firstly, voice recording might be new and different for the students and it is usually motivating to try something new

By setting voice recording as homework, students can practice and record in private, which may help them overcome issues with confidence.

Students are encouraged to prepare, practice, record, listen and check, and re-record until they are happy with their finished product.

The challenge: How to get students speaking ???

Getting students to speak up in class and motivating them to participate in discussions is a challenging task
If only we could pull the words out of them and make them talk!

This why students need lots of practice in & outside the class. Practice , Practice & Practice .
