Joe [Bit]

Experienced

Joe was experienced because he has tackled venomous snakes and studied them. He has been doing this for many years.
Joe was experienced because he has had his fair share of dilemmas with snakes. For example he has gotten bitten by a spitting cobra, copper head, and a krait.

Angry

Joe was angry because he yelled at U Htun Win, when really it was only a tiny, tiny bit U Htun Win's fault and mostly his. Yes U Htun Win should have made sure that it was a Dinodon and not a krait or any other snake, but Joe should have looked into the bag before he stuck his hand in the bag, to make sure it was a Dinodon.
Joe was angry because when he got bit by the krait he took it out on U Htun Win and said "That's a ******* krait." When he should have looked into the bag.

Unprepared

Joe was unprepared because he what could happen and he decided not to bring help with that experience of a professional help like an ambulance or a doctor that specializes in that. Even if he didn't need that help it's always good to come extra prepared, than not. I don't know about you but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Brave

Joe was also brave because he trekked in shorts and sandals, and risked getting malaria, getting bit by leeches and getting other sicknesses. When every one else was in completely covered in clothes with no skin showing.
Joe was brave because In the text it says that some scientists have been know to cut off their finger at such a time so that the venom wouldn't get in their system. But Joe, no he was willing to fight for his life. He just didn't win this fight.

Wasn't really thinking

Joe wasn't really thinking for these reasons. Also Joe should have know to be aware of his surroundings because he has gotten bitten by a snake multiple times before so he should have know what could have happened.
Joe wasn't really thinking because this happened. "I think it's a Dinodon." So Joe sticks his hand in the bag without looking. Instead of just looking inside of the bag to see if it really was a Dinodon, he relied on the "thought" of someone.
