Turing made a device that could check if your mathematical assertion is able to be proven. Turing also made the machine to crack the enigma code during world war 2.

It designed to assist in summarizing information stored on punched cards/ developed to help process data for the 1890 U.S. Census.

It helped to manage data such as patient records and mortality statistics.

Holleriths company became involved with other companys including the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (CTR) which later was named International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) and ofcourse he created and designed the tabulator machine.
