Phobias are intense and often debilitating fears of specific objects, places, situations, feelings, or animals. These fears are more extreme than general fears and can be triggered by an exaggerated sense of danger.

Complex Phobias:They usually develop during adulthood and are often associated with a deep-rooted fear or anxiety about a particular situation or circumstance.
Specific: Specific or simple phobias centre around a particular object, animal, situation or activity.

What causes phobias?

Mainly a phobia may be associated with a particular incident or trauma
Phobias do not have a single cause, but there are a number of associated factors like negative experiences, genetic or environmetal anf brain fuction.

Hypnophobia - fear of falling asleep
Aquaphobia - afraid of water
