Jacob is Esau's son, he didnt really get along with that much people. But by the end of the story he changed and had a better relationship with his dad by the end. This shows that Jacob was a dynamic character.

characterization

Esau

Esau is Jacobs father, He fought in the war for his country. Him and Jacob dont get alon well and he started most of the fights with him. By the end of the story he starts to open up more and talk to Jacob more about the war. He wasn't always like this and most of the time he was quite.

Figurative language

I found "My heart shattered to pieces" which is a metaphor another one I found was "Lambs to slaughter" that means the people at war getting killed.
