WHAT MAKES HIM A "GREAT" SCIENTIST?

He made many experiments; their results basically formed the "basis of the modern science of physics"

He saw things up in the sky that no human saw before!

He transformed the telescope from just a toy to an instrument of great importance!

A system of gaining knowledge based on the scientific method.

He was called " The father of science"

His fields were: Astronomy, physics & Maths.

WHAT MAKES HIM "GREAT"?

He was called " martyr for science"

He changed alot in the way people understand the universe around them.

WHO WAS HE?

Later on, his writings got him into troubles with the Roman Catholic church.

He was Italian, born in Florence.

Science & Religion CAN'T co-exist

Galileo proved the "heliocentric" theory; therefore he was opposing the church!

The church believed in the " geocentric" theory.

He had trouble with the church
