This course is aligned with the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero Systems Leadership Guide: how to be a systems leader and systems approaches model to modify leadership pattern of behaviour over time.

The NHS has a need to be world’s first net zero national health service by 2045 and have set two main targets

(A) the NHS Carbon Footprint 

(B) NHS Carbon Footprint Plus 


Since April 2023, for all new contracts above £5 million per annum, the NHS has also required suppliers to publish a carbon reduction plan (CRP) for their UK Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and a subset of scope 3 emissions as a minimum .


This CPD course is to support the second target – the need to influence the NHS carbon footprint through servant leadership.
