Motivation and Initiative

There were times where I was beginning my co-op and I was so quiet that I didn't communicate with other workers like I was supposed to. My co-op teachers wanted me to interact more with workers so I could use to talking to them. When I needed help with a customer I asked the other workers for assistance. I usually got good results when I started doing it when a customer needed something.

Flexibility/ Adaptability Skills

There were times when I had had to put up new products on the shelves at Party City. One example was the party supplies I was putting up for summertime fun along the whole right side wall. I used the red safety ladder to put away products that go on the highest part on the shelves like pinatas. After I was done putting up half of the products on the midway point of the wall, the other half was already done.

Organizational Skills

There are times where my room (at home in St. Catharines) can be a mess. I normally have one day to clean it but I don't set a time limit for myself. I start by organizing one part of the room (the closet) and then I move to a new point. After a couple of hours (3-4 give or take) of cleaning my room the floor has no mess to clean, and everything is put neatly and organized in an orderly fashion.

Technical Skills

I was supposed to do a 3D printing model in a graphic designing class when time was cutting close. I was to make a 3D printing object on a website using a Mac computer. I made a simple design like making a Master Ball from the Pokemon series. I got a somewhat good mark on it but I never got to see the mark because of the program I was in at high school.

Interpersonal Skills

Customers would always ask me where certain products are that I do/ don't know where it is. At Mark's No Frills I was putting away and restocking bread in the grain aisle. I normally would ask my co-worker (Ben) where the product is, or I would help the out myself if no one is available. If I couldn't help someone I would apologize and get back to work. But the same goes for when I do the opposite only except the customer says thank you.

Integrity

In my interview with Mark for No Frills, he was looking for someone who can fill in the position to stock products in the grain aisle. I was to rearrange the shelves as well as checking for old products. I usually replaced old products with new ones because old food at this store gets thrown out if it's out of date. The result at the end of my co-op experience was an outstanding job in the grain aisle and I would be happy to work there again.

Strong Work Ethic

When Mark's boss was coming to the store to check certain areas out. I had to make sure my work station was clean so that Mark's boss would not be unimpressed. I tried working as fast as possible so Mark wouldn't get mad. Usually the result would always be positive or there might be some minor changes at No Frills like renovation.

Problem Solving Skills

There are times when I rearrange the luggage when I go on trips. I'm usually rearranging the back as I move all of the suit cases around. I take everything out and then I place the bags somewhere where they fit. Sometimes my result is always neat, tidy, and organized.

Communication Skills

I communicated to the employees at Mark's No Frills quickly and as simple as possible about a customer asking me a question. I would be at the back of the store sorting out products, or out in the store in some areas doing the same. I would ask the other workers nicely where some products are. After one of the workers told me where the product is I would tell the customer and show them where its is.

Teamwork

Ryland, Ethan, Brennan and I worked on a social media project for Alice's Class in Trends in Technology. Each one of us was to tell of a slide of information on the social media we chose (Instagram). I chose to talk about the history of Instagram for my slide. Our result was that one of the group members didn't show up, so me, Ryland, and Ethan had to explain most of slideshow.
