Greenbelts

Ontario’s Greenbelt, a vast 810,000-hectare stretch of farmland, forests, and wetlands, is under significant scrutiny and threat due to proposed housing developments. This protected area, which extends from Niagara Falls to Peterborough, serves vital roles in preserving cultural heritage, supporting recreation and tourism, and protecting essential natural resources.
