TYPES:
Motion conversion mechanisms:

The mechanism coverts the movement from the drivier element into a movement that the driven element can cause.

EXAMPLES: screw and nut, cams, eccentric...

Motion transmission mechanisms:

LINEAR MOTION: Move in a straight line (levers, pulley...)

ROTARY MOTION: Move in circles (belt and pulleys, gears...)

Devices that transmit and/orconvert motion
EXAMPLES: Eccentric wheel, friction wheels, belt and pulley transmission. These are some examples of mechanisms

MACHINES

Used to describe a set of elements or parts that work together and use energy to perform a task and obtain a result.
EXAMAPLES: Muscle strenght, in the case of scissors the sheet of paper.
