An example of summarizing is writing a three or four-sentence description that touches upon the main points of a long book

How it is used?

To properly use this reading strategy you must locate the main ideas and the points that support the main ideas, then select the unnecessary information and get rid of it

What does it consist in?

It helps focus on the key words and essential ideas, summarizing them into a shorter text with only main points.
