The Beaver
The beaver, a herbivorous mammal, is recognized as Canada’s largest rodent and the second largest globally. Notably industrious, this animal is emblematic of Canada’s national identity.
The beavers tail can be up to 30cm long. The beavers fur is waterproof. The beavers have Yellow/Orange teeth. Four of the beavers teeth are over-sized. The beaver also has webbed feet.
Body use
The beavers teeth are mainly made for cutting down trees.
Beavers have 4 over-sized front teeth that can carve through 15 cm of hard wood in just 1 night. The beavers fur make clothing for humans to wear and to fur trade. The beavers tail guides them in the water.
