friendship

Gatsby and Nick do appear to have a genuine regard for each other, but there are hints of ambivalence in their relationship. it could be argued , for instance, that Gatsby uses Nick to get closer to Daisy . Gatsby appears to be one of a kind for Nick in the genuine sense of warmth that he projects. in chapter 6 Nick invites Daisy to his house , Gatsby is also there and they both meet Daisy and having tea .
Nick tells Gatsby that he will call daisy and invites her to tea. nick changes Gatsby mood and he can see the smile and happiness throw his eyes. Nick is Daisy's cousin. Gatsby , Daisy and Nick reunion and continue their tea.
Gatsby and Nick are next door neighbors in long island and unlikely Friends who are brought together by proximity and Gatsby's desire for Daisy . the friendship between Nick and Gatsby is rather an intriguing one, in chapter 5 Nick tries to bring back Gatsby and Daisy together without Daisy's husband knows it .
Nick sees neither Gatsby nor Daisy for several weeks after their reunion at Nick’s house. Stopping by Gatsby’s house one afternoon, he is alarmed to find Tom Buchanan there. Tom has stopped for a drink at Gatsby’s house with Mr. and Mrs. Sloane, with whom he has been out riding. Gatsby seems nervous and agitated, and tells Tom awkwardly that he knows Daisy. Gatsby invites Tom and the Sloane to stay for dinner, but they refuse. To be polite, they invite Gatsby to dine with them, and he accepts, not realizing the insincerity of the invitation. Tom is contemptuous of Gatsby’s lack of social grace and highly critical of Daisy’s habit of visiting Gatsby’s house alone. He is suspicious, but he has not yet discovered Gatsby and Daisy’s love.

Gatsby " a man who is rich in money alone is the poorest of all people".He wanted nothing less of Daisy than that she should go to Tom and say: "I never loved you."
Gatsby throw parties every Friday night just to see Daisy , but he never mingle with other people and stays alone in a corner . His goal is just to see Daisy .

Money is not that much important than the real happiness, Gatsby can not buy happiness with his all money , he tries to impress Daisy but he fails .

Relationship with Daisy

Daisy is very bit the materialistic, selfish person that she is made out to be. she marry Tom because he is rich . one day Gatsby invites Tom and Daisy to his party. Gatsby and Daisy dance and talk. Tom makes see-through excuses to pursue other women at the party.
Daisy is clearly miserable.Gatsby worries that Daisy didn’t like the party. His worry makes him tell Nick his ultimate desire: Gatsby would like to recreate the past he and Daisy had together five years ago. Gatsby is an absolutist about Daisy: he wants her to say that she never loved Tom, to erase her emotional history with him (and with their daughter, probably!). Nick doesn't think that this is possible. Gatsby's wealth impresses daisy , but ultimately Gatsby is green money. Tom by contrast, is the gold standards . her decision to return to Tom is purely mercenary: he can give her the more secure future.
Daisy appears to be unhappy cynic, married to an unfaithful husband and left hoping that her daughter will be a " beautifull fool" as she once was.
Daisy was in love with Gatsby but instead she choose to marry Tom, tom is an arrogant person and daisy is not happy with him . Daisy has a daughter , she is worried about her future that her daughter will be fool as her .
