This program allows teachers to instantly assess or poll their students’ knowledge base. “Are the understanding enough for an exam?” “what did they think about this particular part of the reading?” Countless options to use in the class. Simply print out the number of individualized Qr codes you need for your class size, and download the app to your smart phone. Use your smart phones camera option to scan the room and in comes that data to your computer. You even have the option to “show your class” as the data comes in. It also allows for assimilation of the data into graphs of all sorts.

(http://www.bighugelabs.com) This free tool allows us to create our classroom environment from our texts by helping teachers to create posters, student accounts, free from ads and popups provided you register as a teacher. Students can create games, name badges for centers, games, and countless other items to enhance their interaction with the material in all age groups.

Jing

Jing (https://www.techsmith.com/jing.html) is a tool to use for screenshots or to videotape what you are doing on your screen. This is great if you are trying to explain how to do a particular task to someone. You can click on the Jing bubble that appears on your screen and choose whether you are taking a picture or a video. Select the area on the screen that you want to include and begin. The images and videos can be saved onto your computer to share with others.

Padlet (https://padlet.com/) is a collaborative tool that can be used with teachers and students. It is like a wall where you can post information to share with others. Videos, images, links, text and files can be posted here to share with others. Students can post writing or other ideas and use videos or images to make it come to life. There are different privacy options to use in order to control who uses it.

(http://ipiccy.com) This free photo editor is so much more than a cropping tool, or one to remove those pesky 10 pounds. No registration is required it is just free to use. This site allows students to create items like postcards, images, avatars for “social media” or “class media”. It works as a great tool for those visual learners.

Teachers create their lessons, and then choose to upload and share their lessons with other teachers, FREE, through this website. It is funded by the American Federation of Teachers and tes.com, a website committed to supporting teachers worldwide.

Blendspace (https://www.tes.com/lessons) is an online tool for creating lessons and dynamic presentations. It is free and allows you to search for lessons done by other teachers that you can incorporate into your planning.

Educreations (https://www.educreations.com/) is an app for iPads that serves as a whiteboard, allowing you to create drawings, text, import pictures, and record yourself talking about each screen you make. You can easily create an instructional video and share it on your website, for example. It is free and the learning curve is very short and simple.
