希臘火箭大戰
希俄斯島上每年4月4日的東正教復活節期間，當地兩間教堂會舉行一場獨特的火箭大戰。這一傳統始於19世紀，當時鄂圖曼帝國入侵希臘，沒收了當地人的大炮，使他們無法用炮聲慶祝復活節，於是他們改用火箭來代替。根據另一種說法，這一習俗是為了防止土耳其人打擾復活節的紀念活動，信徒們會互相發射火箭以掩護對方。每年這一天，兩間教堂的信徒會自製火箭，互相射向對方的鐘樓，希望能擊中目標以獲勝。
