Sophomore Year PE: Frisbee Unity

In a sophomore physical education class focused on team sports, students participated in a series of frisbee matches aimed at developing teamwork and communication skills. The students were divided into gender-based teams of six, with each team competing in multiple rounds to reach a set point goal.

I saw a person from the other team running backwards in my direction and I had no time to move out of the way.

I learned that I needed to develop strategies to help aid me if I were to catch myself daydreaming in class.

I learned that frisbee requires constant motion and that other students might want to learn how to play frisbee in PE

I learned to pay attention to my surroundings.

Sophomore Year PE: Frisbee Unity

Two teams of 12 students, whoever wins three-five points first wins the round. There was nine rounds in total to complete before the bell rang.

Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness based upon continual self-assessment.
Acquires movement skills and understand concepts needed to engage in health-enhancing physical activity.
We split into groups by gender. Six in our group would compete against six others in the other group. We rotated each time one team won three-five points first.
Promote and enhance health and well-being through use of effective communication and decision-making skills.
Develop team-building skills by working with others through physical activity.
My A.D.D. medication was slowly losing it's effectiveness because I wasn't actively getting the frisbee passed to me. I eventually started daydreaming.

While I was staring, I turned my focus back to the game. That was when I saw the frisbee flying towards me.

I could choose to stay in the same position because I was still stuck in a daydream while staring at the frisbee.

I could let my other team member beside me catch the frisbee to direct it to the other side of the court.

I could catch the frisbee and throw it to the other side of the court.
