The Framwork for Environmental Education in Ontario addresses the need for a cohesive and unified approach to ensure that environmental education is implementation across all system levels in the province.

Measuring Progress

Effect Indicators

- measure short-term (output indicators), mid-term (outcome indicators), and long-term results (impact indicators)

Facilitator Indicators

- describe the supportive context and processes in place

- process indicators: describe the level of engagement of the ministry, the school board, the school, and other stakeholders in the process.

- context indicators: describe the general supportive context.

Status Indicators

- indicate where you are at the beginning of the process - provide the baseline information against which future progress can be measured
