Weighting:
We will equally weigh the high-level categories, sub-sections (within its parent category), and underlying variables (within its parent section).
Statistic Type:
By default, we will use the percentage of the population (households or adults) to characterize the persona of a block group.
Geography:
We will measure behavioral characteristics within a block group, and for assets, we will measure the assets within the block group plus assets within a 1/4 mile buffer of the block group.
For green and public space assets we will leverage polygon boundaries (Open Street Map - OSM) where available and augment with points as appropriate (SafeGraph).
