Terry Fox embarked on a monumental journey to raise awareness and funds for cancer research after witnessing the suffering of countless individuals, including young children, during his time in the hospital.

(24.17 mill) He also spread awareness He started his run in St.Johns Newfoundland and Labrador As of 2019 the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over 750 million dollars for cancer research His actions have affect millions and will continue to touch millions because the fight against cancer is a long and hard one. Terry Fox wanted to run because while he was in the hospital he saw a lot of people suffering from cancer and many of them were young children His run brought hope to people suffering because of cancer hope Averaging 42 kilometres (26 miles) per day he ran 5,373km (3,339)in 143 days
