Se conoció cuáles fueron los principales datos biográficos de la vida de Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, quien nació en Suiza y tuvo una vida económicamente deficiente, por lo cual su teoría educativa también se enfoca en aquellos niños de escasos recursos económicos.

Gracias a la realización de este trabajo hemos llegado a conocer un poco más acerca de la vida, obra y aporte de Pestalozzi.

El nombre de Pestalozzi se cita muy a menudo, pero pocos lo leen y se sigue conociendo muy mal tanto su obra como su pensamiento: se suele aludir a la imagen serena del “gran corazón materno” o del “padre de los pobres”, mientras que Pestalozzi fue un pensador y ante todo un apasionado hombre de acción.
